Administration

There are a few extra details required to keep a league running, and this is where we put them.

Roster Files

FLATNZ Rules
It is always useful to know how to play the game.  To read the rules in Microsoft Word, click here.

Contact List
You know how it is - you put it down one moment and then you can't find it ever again.  So you need to know that manager's address again because you'd really like to persuade him to part with that GK.  Click here.

Waitlist
This is clearly a very fine game, and you'd like to be involved.  Sign on here and check out the wait.  The list is edited on a regular basis, so it might not be as long as you think.  Click here.

Software
The MSWL software is freeware and the leagues that use it are also free.  Keeping in the same spirit, a couple of managers have written free software to use with the MSWL software to simplify and enhance various aspects of the game.

MSWL Olmec
This is the main operating software for the league, written by Al Sellers.  MSWL Olmec is the league management, administration and match running software.  FLATNZ uses the v10 evolution.  The installation files can be downloaded here (5.2Mb), but be aware that there is no support for this version.  The latest version is web based.  For further information, visit the MSWL website.

Lineup Builder
This functional utility was written by Al Sellers and will enable you to create lineups, but it doesn't have any extra features.  It does not require installation and is very small.  If you want a shortcut to it you will have to create one manually (right click and select "Send To>Desktop").  Extract to wherever you want to put it.

LineUp File Creator
Nic Chilton got inspired and wrote this much more comprehensive version of lineup creation software.  This "bells and whistles" version enables you to create lineups, but also has extra features such as area totals, rule checking and the ability to write press all in the same package.

LCSetup.  If you do not have LUFC installed, you will need to run the setup file first.  To download the setup file, click here.
Updated EXE.  If you already have LUFC installed, then you will only need the updated EXE file.  To download the EXE file, click here.  Extract to the LUFC program directory.  This zip file also contains an INI file that will set LUFC up with FLATNZ settings.

Match Viewer
The match commentary produced by the software can look a trifle dull as you open up the text file in your word processor.  If you think so, you're not the only one.  Terry Bray agreed with you, and set out to do something about it.  Terry has written a wonderful program that lets you sit back and have the match play out before you minute by minute.

NotepadPlus
Notepad is a very useful ASCII only text editor.  However, it is limited by having such a small maximum file size.  Well, Notepad Plus to the rescue, which has no maximum file size! This and a few other additions make Notepad Plus an excellent tool in the world of PBEM Soccer.
